My name is Thomas Morrow. I am a twin, born premature at 22 weeks gestation, 1 pound 13 ounces able to fit in the palm of a hand. The odds of survival were slim. At the age of four years old I was diagnosed with a mild-moderate-severe sloping hearing impairment. It was hard being the only person with hearing impairment in my family. My parents provided support for me, taking me back and forth to my audiology appointments and making sure I was always in the right school system that understood how to support my disability.

My employment background includes working with the Exceptional Children’s Department supporting students with special needs in the CHCCS District for the last seven years. As an individual living with a disability, I understand and appreciate the patience and repetition required to successfully support other individuals with special needs in their daily activities.
